Childrens Ministries

Baby Zone
Care for babies age birth to 2 years old. These leaders serve during one weekend service for a month on a quarterly basis. No experience? Don't worry, we will train you! Zone 23
Share Bible stories, prayer, games and activities with children age 2-3. These leaders serve during one weekend service for a month on a quarterly basis. No experience? Zone 45
Share Bible stories, prayer, games and activities with children age 4-5. These leaders serve during one weekend service for a month on a quarterly basis. No experience? Kid Zone
Share Bible stories, prayer, games and activities with children age 6-11. These leaders serve during one weekend service for a month on a quarterly basis. No experience? Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is a ministry that motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. Commanders prepare and teach designated curriculum for weekly club meetings, and provide a loving, safe atmosphere. Time commitment: Each Wednesday evening from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, as well as special events such as day camps at local and sectional levels. Commanders must earn the Leaders Medal of Achievement, attend eight hours of training over a one year period, and attend National training at their convenience. Missionettes
Missionettes is a ministry that motivates girls spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. Leaders prepare and teach designated lessons for weekly club meetings and provide a fun, loving, and safe environment. Time commitment: Each Wednesday evening from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, as well as special events such as day camps and meetings. Training is once a year. Community Ministries

Special Events
Serve in a great variety of ways in helping to facilitate different events such as our 10/31 Outreach. Time commitment varies depending on the event. For more information, please contact Pastor Gary Curtis at (909) 795-6476 ext. 12.

Food Ministry
The Food Ministry is a program that provides groceries to those in need. Responsibilites include receiving groceries, maintaining inventory, maintaining delivery records on each family, contact families prior to delivery, and assembling and delivering groceries. Busing
The Busing ministry provides rides to church services and special events for children. Responsibilities:
Drivers - Class B license required, perform vehicle checks inside and out prior to transport, and maintain cleanliness.
Captains - Recruit riders, follow up riders, call Sunday mornings to verify pick up, and maintain control during transport.
Director - Recruit and oversee bus captains and drivers, oversee bus maintenance.
Time commitment: Be part of a rotating schedule.

Tutoring
This is an opportunity to reach out to the community through practical means. Tutors who have a desire and ability to help teach children basic Math and English skills are needed. Time commitment is one hour per week. The application process includes completing an application, an interview, background check, viewing a video and reading a booklet. Creative Arts

Dance
Perform for special services and events to praise music or special selections. Time commitment varies depending on performances.

Puppetry
This is an opportunity to teach the Word of God through puppets! Participants need a desire to be blessed and used creatively for God's glory, to learn lines, and attend all practices. Practice is held weekly and/or bi-weekly when preparing for a performance. Auditions are held for parts. For more information please contact Anna Murphy at (951) 845-6955.

Drama

Videography/Photography
Is your gift in videography or photography? Photograph/videotape church activities and special events for use in the church Update, web site, brochures and other church materials. Time commitment varies depending on events. Please contact the church office for more information: (909) 795-6476.

Praise and Worship Choir

Praise and Worship Band

KidZone Praise and Worship Band

Sound and Lighting
Operate sound board, CD and tape equipment, video equipment and lighting. Be part of a rotating schedule: Sundays from 8am through second service Praise and Worship, Super Sundays PM service, Wednesday evening services and special events Training is every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Discipleship Classes

The Basics
A class for new believers that teaches the basics of our Christian faith. The Basics meets every Sunday at 9am. Contact Donny Kridner for more information at (909) 795-2616.

International School of Ministry
We are excited about this new curriculum coming in the fall of 2006. Please watch for more information.

Revival Bible School
Revival Bible School is a wonderful way to learn God's Word. Whether you're familiar with the Bible or not, this class will reach you at your level. The 6-month class is offered once a year and is held for one hour a week. There are no tests. The next class starts in spring 2006. Covenant Couples (20s and 30s married)

40s and 50s Fellowships
Fellowships for singles and married couples ages 40s and 50s. Various events several times throughout the year. Please email info@ovfc.com.

Senior Adult Ministries

Helps Ministries

Altar Workers
Pray for those who come forward for prayer; to know and be able to lead in the plan of salvation. Alter Workers are part of a rotating schedule and training is provided. Follow-up and Visitation
Provide personal touch through phone calls and/or personal visits, prayer and encouragement, and hospital or home visitation. You may be on call or part of a rotating schedule. Training provided. Ushering

Greeters
Welcome and greet people with the joy of the Lord! Greeters are part of a rotating schedule and need to arrive thirty minutes before service starts. Training is once a year. Please contact Larry and Trini Moore for more information at (909) 830-2451.

Bookstore
Greet people in the bookstore, receive funds for items in the bookstore including tapes and CDs of services, maintain inventory of books, and tape and CD duplication. Training provided. For more information please contact Ann Hoffee at (909) 790-0648.

Men's Ministries

Monthly Breakfasts
Help once a month with the Iron Men's breakfast, which is a time for men to share in the Word and pray before work. Please contact Louie Castaneda at (909) 790-5792 for more information.

Serving at Special Events
Opportunities exist to serve in various ways depending on events, such as serving meals at Girls' Night Out, set up and tear down of tables and chairs, etc. Please contact Louie Castaneda at (909) 790-5792 for more information.

Student Ministries

Pulse Youth Minstries
Minister to all three dimensions of a teenager: socially, personally, and spiritually. Available areas of ministry are

  • Music/Sound/Lighting

College Age
Our Oak Valley College Age Ministry plans amazing events throughout the year, such as an annual Riley’s Farms Christmas Party in Oak Glen, as well as being the driving force behind SNC, our new Saturday Nite Church, every Saturday at 7pm.  This is a great place to bring your friends and meet new ones.  Also watch for our home group meeting schedule coming soon.  For information contact Clair Adame at 909-795-6476.

Women's Ministries

ZoeChicks Bible Study
Help with Tuesday morning Bible study for women of all ages, small prayer groups, and friendship development. Areas of need: set up, refreshments, sound, coordinate refreshment schedule by phone. Please contact Susie Ingram for more information: (909) 795-6476.

Girls' Night Out
Girls' Night Out is a special event held quarterly with the purpose to encourage, build up, and reach women for Jesus. Areas of need: decorating, meal preparation, favors, setting tables, greeting, assemble welcome bags, and usher. Please contact Susie Ingram for more information: (909) 795-6476.

Hospitality
Be part of a rotating team to prepare and deliver meals for new mothers, families with hospitalized members or bereaved families. Please contact Susie Kimball at (909) 795-9492 for more information.

Single Women in God
Single Women in God needs volunteers in the following areas: Setup, table decorations, coffee and tea preparation, greeters, sign-in assistance, sound and PowerPoint, cleanup, assistance with event planning, and assistance with seminar planning.
